I'll admit over the years I have gained a few lbs. I am not happy about it at all. And before you say "do something about it" and before I find myself whining "I have" I'll say nope I haven't. I have picked up terrible habits I am not proud of. And while I find myself saying "I am trying" nope not really that hard, not as hard as I should be.
So I joined Weight Watchers yesterday. I am riding my bike. I have stopped drinking soda. Not huge changes but changes for me none the less.
I am not a big fan of the way the leader applauds those members who lose 1 lb. I know how hard it is to lose that one pound by I kind of wish she would maybe yell at us for only losing 1 and at the rest for not losing any at all. But they know what they are doing right?
No tough love just acceptance. Well I do not accept me the way I am or have been for a few years now.
But I do like the no soda drinking, bike riding point counting me.

I have been doing WW for a few months and I have lost 25 lbs. I don't go to the place (I do the math for points at home) because I don't want somebody applauding me until I lose 60 lbs.
Let me know if you want me to yell at you for only losing 1 lb. What are friends for?
Love ya!
I say good for you. None of us are perfect so don't worry about it. I have more to lose than you! It could always be worse ;<) meant in a good way to you.
And good job Shauna for losing 25 lbs! Now THAT is something to clap about even though I do not know you! Way to go.

seems like you don't have enough money to join ww and eat at applebees!!! how do you do it all??? but good for you for at least trying to improve your health.

It is so easy to point out another person's foibles, so turn the mirror on yourself and work on that critical nature of yours, okay? We're all in this life together and have our challenges; be nice, be sincere and don't club people to death. God Bless!
