I had to work Sunday morning... I dont like working mornings. I had to be there at 515 yikes.
So it got busy as it often does in the mornings... I swear I had 12 cups
linned up and I was the only one on the bar (as we say) making drinks.
And of course everyone wanted a different kind of milk, whole, nonfat, halfandhalf, apple juice steamed it was crazy. Normally you can steam a whole pitcher of whole milk and just bam bam pour the espresso (by the way I hate when people say EXPRESSO it's not and X it's an s HATE IT even starabucks employees will say it kills me!) then the milk, topping and you're done.
FAST.
So I had a few non fat milk drinks, 1 pitcher of non fat steamed and ready and 3 pitchers of whole steamed and ready and she had a venti (the biggest drink) I poured all the nonfat that I had and the cup was not full. There was still maybe an inch or so left to fill it up. By the way, others have admitted they have done it too, I topped the cup off with whole milk. I handed the drink to the lady among the other 11 people waiting and she said "this is non fat right?" and I said yes because basiclly it was mostly non fat right?!? and she said "no whole milk" as if maybe she had watched?
If I had a customer question me and I am not sure I'll dump it out and remake the drink legendary service BLAH BLAH but yesterday it was just not possible it was bad enough most of the decafedrinks I messed up I willing dumped and started over.
So I started thinking about it... what if she got sick? what if she sued?what if she came back later? would I get in trouble? what disease could she have that she could drink non fat but not whole milk? the mix of the two
actually makes 2 % milk... how big a deal could it be? if she was gonna get all crazy maybe she should stay out of starbucks.
