Derek called Strawberries "Gawberries" the Navitiy at Christmas time was the "Jesus Action Figure Set"
Those things have stuck. He use to sing this crazy "Ninja cant abevea it " song over and over. We still sing it.
Joseph says "Sha Sha" when it's time to take a shower. He doubles things. Pa Pa is his pocket. We say it too.

We have folded our lives around our kids, changed it oh so much. We have not expected the kids to fit in to our lives.
A friend spoke of parents eyes on her watching her response, it happens, I have done it both ways. Struggled with my own convictions, watched another parent struggle in front of me. But the bottom line is at the of the day what matters is that you feel that you are doing what's right.
You cant "control" your children like others would certainly like you to. They are kids and guess what everyone was a kid at one time. Get over it.
I dont care if people see my kids misbehaving, get over it. I'll leave if they are screaming or throwing a fit it's happened trust me. But if they are just being kids I let them explore the world.
My father very much believed kids should be seen and not heard as least that's the way my mother tells the tale. I am not that way. It gets crazy in here sometimes but they are being kids comfortable and happy.

Just go to bed each night happy with how your day went with your kids. Happy that you saw them enough, smiled enough, lauhged with them enough. The rest takes care of itself.
