Last night was Derek's school fundraiser. They had food and games you know the deal. Each class had to put a basket together based on a theme and you bring in items for the basket and the baskets are raffled off. While you're eating you can look at the baskets and decide which ones you want to put your tickets in.
They had " a day at the beach" "family game night" "Raider fan" and the big one "Electronics" it had an Ipod, and Xbox, I am not kidding. Derek latched on to this and wanted it, baby he wanted it bad! Joseph found a Spongebob one and he thought Nana should just buy it and buy now what was she waiting for?
Derek wanted to wait for them to draw the names so he could have his Ipod right away.
While all of this was happening all of the classes were performing on the outside stage. Derek was set for 6 o'clock. The preschoolers killed me singing in chef hats and aprons swinging wooden spons "If I knew you were coming I would have baked a cake" too cute! Joseph was dying to go up there and sing and dance.
Derek's class sang 5 songs. He got to be in the very front row. He sang and all of the songs were great. They danced but he didnt dance he stood with his hands in his pocket THE WHOLE TIME! I guess he's just too cool to dance.
As far as stuff like that goes it was pretty good. Very well organized and it ran really smoothly. As for the basket firs thing this morning he's asking "When will I know if I won?" UGH.

I like the ideas from the school fair. I will share them with some folks at our school here. Great!
AND I hope that Derek gets what he wants. So foreign to us here, we have the original PlayStation and I think people probably laugh at those things now. I don't even think we know where it is....would anyone buy that thing? Or is it now considered junk? Probably junk. Hey it can play the original Crash Bandicoot. ;<) Can't be all that bad (right and there's how many Crash Bandicoot's now? 2 or 3?)
Anyway, let us know how it turns out for him!
Hugs.
