It has been suggested that fathers day should come before mothers day. Seems mothers have grand expectations and then when it falls short we still seem to do something to show how much we appreciate the fathers.
Dom will say "I dont want anything for fathers day" and he would be perfectly happy to not get a single thing. To let the day just pass. I wonder though if deep down he might feel a little unappreicated if that's what happened. So I never do it. I cant do it. Its a special day you need to celebreat birthdays and fathers day.
For my brithday Dominic got me a coffee cup. From Starbucks.
For mothers day he went to a hockey game.
He has asked for tools to work on his bike, new glasses and an Ipod.
Isnt that nice.
So I ask you what are you doing for the dad in your life? Your hubby. Your father.

Oh c'mon!! YOU told him to go to that hockey game. He was originally going to stay home until you kicked him out the door.
Personally speaking here, I think Father's Day should be before Mother's Day because it doesn't seem to have much luster after going through all of the Mother's Day hype. I think Mother's Day is much bigger and should be built up to. PLUS, if the dad gets a nice gift first, he may be more tempted to go out and outdo what she has done for him. AND it would also give him a bit of a reminder that Mother's Day is coming up so that he doesn't just run out to get a less than thrilling last minute gift.
I am getting him a few things. The boys are getting him a few other things. The "things" don't matter really, and I'm not even trying to be a martyr. Cause you know what? They really don't.
BUT it is nice to be appreciated and shown it. It just is. It's just nice to be given something that shows some thought actually went into it.
Tammy, I'm all about Dom, but don't you dare get him an IPOD. Let him get it himself (sorry John). Seriously, what were you supposed to do? Ruin his fun on Mother's Day? Kay, I'm all the way on the East Coast, it's so easy for me to throw stones... :) did it hit ya in the back? sorry! ;<)

I'm with you above, Tuesday night I'm taking her to a movie...right Tam! Your pick lady! We deserve a little R & R and a chick flick.
Hey John, I think you're on to something. Fathers Day first would be like Thanksgiving and make Mothers Day more like Christmas. ho ho ho
Almost forgot the question, I was going to get Chris an Xbox 360 Live, so he and Brandon would quit arguing, but he beat me to it Sunday. Which is fine, he deserves it and he and Brandon are loving playing Live together. Now that the $$ is spent, I'm thinking nice cards, hugs, and whatever he'd like to do that day.
