Birds in Flight

Dominic misses the helicopters. How could he not? He's been inside and oustide of them, taken them apart, put them back together, flew in them and waited for the pilot to buzz the hanger as a way of saying "job well done she's flying well" and the pride swelled up in his chest every time.
Anytime we see an chincook they will forever and always be Daddy's kind.
I sometimes miss the scratchy Basic Dress Uniform he would come home in who doesnt love a man in uniform? But I dont miss the waiting, the wondering the worrying that 20,000 soilders familes will face now. Thank you Mr. Bush. I am not a Bush supporter and never will be. He has changed the course of countless lives in ways he may never have imagined. I did not rejoice the night Saddam was hung. I went to sleep with a heavy heart.
More of these graceful birds will fly over Iraq and sadly more will fall in the months to come.
We will always be a little sad when we see one of these fly they changed us forever.
