Riding in Cars with Boys

The men in my life have purchased me cars. I have never in my life had my name on a car as a registered owner. How is that? sigh.

Dominic and my father have always bought the car I have wanted but I have never purchased my own.

So our new car that is not even a year old yet is in the shop. We got a letter from Nissan stating that there was a recall issued and we needed to bring in to be looked at. They said "it should take about an hour" Dominic was going to wait for it.

We dropped it off at 8 am, I took Dominic to work expecting to get a call by the time I was back home.

The dealership called me at 2. "Yeah about your car and the recall....." yes I am standing in the grocery store in the wine department...."Yeah about that" I wait...."Can you leave it a few more DAYS?" .... "What?" I ask. "Yeah the thing is we need to replace the whole engine and its' going to take a few days and we need to order ......" and my mind went blank at that point and I truly didnt hear another word after that. Thank God it's a warranty thing and part of a recall. I did not buy any wine but boy I was this close to. I did buy some cookies. sigh.

It's always something isnt it?
