Ain't no cure fore the summertime blues.

Summer time has got me down. Not sure why but here I am. Derek started summer school and I was a nervous wreck all day and today I was weepy when I dropped him off as he ran out of the car and was off.
So I am desperate for some fun, some distractions.
Tell me..
...what's on your iPod?
how many songs?
...what song makes you dance no matter what? weddings, parties this is your booty moving song.
...what song is "summer" to you? Roll down the windows, bang on the wheel, sing out loud song?
...what is your food of summer? Watermelon? Ice cream? Corn on the cob?
.... what does summer smell like to you?
.... summer vacation memory? THE.BEST.SUMMER.EVER. What was it?
Post a note, email me. Tell me. Help this girl out of the summer blues will ya?

I'll see if I can redo for modern times.

For my stuff see below:

Tell me..
...what's on your iPod? Don't use our iPod. Sad eh?
how many songs? I think he has literally over 700 songs on there. Sad we don't listen to it/them.
...what song makes you dance no matter what? Lots. To many. The Gwen Stefani latest song (not so new anymore) Sweet Escape. La la la lah.
weddings, parties this is your booty moving song.
...what song is "summer" to you? Roll down the windows, bang on the wheel, sing out loud song? Hmmmm none lately. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I'm totally a car too loud singer normally. Life has me running in circles and out of my norm, out of my element.
...what is your food of summer? corn on the cob. totally that. Watermelon? Yes that too. Ice cream? Not so much on ice cream. ?? Corn on the cob?
.... what does summer smell like to you? Tanning lotion/oil. don't use it ever in years but still, when I smell that, I could just sit and go down memory lane forever. Totally that is summer to me. I bought a yankee candle oil plug in warmer thing and they had one sand and surf smell (something like that) and I loved it, bought it, plugged it in the bathroom downstairs, and my honey walked in the bathroom and immediately said, "did you spray bug spray in here?" (deflation here). I could go in there and sniff big sniffs and take big breaths and he thinks it smells like bug spray. Men. so different. From different planets. Right? Ok. Love them, but so different.
.... summer vacation memory? Ummmmm the one where we recklessly 'had a little fun' in broad daylight on a dingy boat right by an interstate passway. I'm sure lots and lots of people got nice views that day. That was a fun and carefree summer. No worries back then. Funny how life changes; no?
THE.BEST.SUMMER.EVER. What was it?

This year cannot, just cannot be half over. Ok, so I'm looking at it like I still have half a year to do something different. Make a difference. There's still half a year left! I had a tshirt I loved when I much much younger, maybe 20-21---maybe I even got it when I was younger--- It was white and had rainbow sleeves (shut up) and it said on the left chest area, "here comes summer" and I loved it. Then my BIL made fun of it once (I don't think he was my BIL then, they were just dating) and it's gone down in history. Even my husband will randomly say, "here comes SUMMER!" and they all laugh and laugh. Dang it. I miss that shirt. I wore it with not a care in the world. Back then I was worried about silly things. Funny.
