Where do I begin THIS story?
Last night (Thursday nigth) Joseph fell. It wasn't much of a fall really as far as fall's go. He was in the living room. On the carpet. Nothing major. But he was screaming.
He was unhappy and uncomfortable off and on and my gut said this is not right we need to go have him checked but that just didn't seem right I mean really he fell on the carpet. He didn't even fall that hard or that far.
Daddy comes home just after midnight and Joseph wakes up and he's crying and unhappy. Daddy says "we're going to the ER" Joseph gets very upset. The sun's not up he says. He doesn't want a shot or any blood taken. So we decide to go to his doctor in the moring first thing. He goes back to sleep and wakes up just after 6 am sort of unhappy. 7 am I call his ped. He says take him to the ER.
We walk in at 8 am and had an xray at 8:30 (by the most wonderful staff on the planet thank you Sutter Tracy Community Hospital!) and by 8:35 the wonderful doctor tell us Joseph has broken his collar bone.
sigh.
sigh.
He's on children's vicoden. Who knew there was such a thing? It makes him silly and more comfortable for sure.
A few weeks of no hockey. (Which could be the worse part!) A fancy sling and lots of ice cream. Lots of advil and movies and playing cootie game with daddy. What could be better.
We got about 4 hours of sleep last night and we are all dragging and tired today. I can barely make any sense of anything. Sorry for the jumble of it all.
So that is how my Friday went.
It's always something isn't it?
