The LONG weekend

It didn't help my team one bit. They lost. Dang it.



Dominic's going away gift from the Haz Mat guys. A box of granola bars wrapped with lots of haz mat stickers. He isn't going to miss those stickers at all.






Thursday night it appeared we were all getting sick. So Friday the boys stayed home from school and we just hung out. Watched movies, ate soup, took cold meds. It was Dominic's last day at in his old department so he came home and we ate pizza and hung out. We played lots of scrabble. Lost of domino's and Risk. I am one mean Risk player and don't even try to ever take Australia away from me! We watched the Sharks win another one at home and I got a bit misty eyed for JR hitting number 500. So glad he's in the teal now. Was ready to call Tony and tell him what number 87 on the Indy Colts team needed ( a good kick and a one way ticket to Miami. Who is that guy?) yelled at Manning for being intercepted 6 times. SIX times? It was a rough day to be Colts fan.
We slept a lot. Made yummy food. It was a good preholiday, low funds weekend. Just what we needed.
So now tomorrow we are off and running. Dom starts his new position as a mechanic. He's so nervous and so excited. Wants to do a good job (he will) getting tired of being the new guy (wants to stay put for a bit)
We have haircuts and holiday parties at school on Friday, holiday baking next week. Busy, busy. So glad we got this extra rest.
