THAT DARN CAT

There has been a baby bird in the backyard that doesn't fly and just sort of hangs out by the backdoor. I got worried about and started feeding it (bird seed) and gave it some water. It just hung out by the door very happy to be cared for.
We all enjoyed watching baby bird. It was the perfect pet for us.
About 5 am the dogs started barking like crazy in the neighbors yard. The next door neighbors cat Spencer (who by the way is a big fluffy white cat with a bell on his collar. Half the time he looks embarrassed to have that darn bell on) likes to take a morning stroll thru the backyard and torment the dog.

I wake this morning to feed and check on baby bird and all I found were feathers. A pretty decent pile of feathers on the ground.
Hmm. I am sure Spencer is involved. That darn cat! My poor bird. I am a little sad about it if you must know.
Joseph wants to know why Spencer would eat his bird. Derek will go into the story of the circle of life blah blah I am sure. Dominic who is not Spencers biggest fan will begin to plot ways to get back at Spencer (but not follow thru on any of them) and I will morn baby bird till another stray comes along. sniff
