The boys and I are not getting sick. Ok. Yes we have sore throats. Yes Derek and Joseph had head aches. But no we are not getting sick. Nope. Just so you know.
So we headed to Target to spend some gift cards and get some cold medicine just in case. Then we headed to Safeway to buy milk ($4.49 a gallon?!! What the heck is up with that?!!) and some dinner. Chinese Deli for Joe and chicken strips from the deli for Derek. Derek ordered his dinner from the counter person and said "please and thank you" and she was so impressed she gave him extra fries. WOW.
We are at the check out and I notice some hub bub at the checkstand next to us and I see that a little girl (maybe 5 or 6) is throwing up.... a lot! I tell the boys "Don't look she's throwing up" I just didn't want any sort of chain reaction type of thing to happen and believe me with Derek is so could have!
The lady checking us out was not in any rush to get us out of there which I was! She slowed to a snails pace to WATCH what was happening behind her. Then my check card would not work.UGH! Then she dropped my money. It was horrible. HORRIBLE!I gotta tell ya the customer service at Safeway these days has been lacking. I understand working retail during the holiday's is rough and I really try to be super nice I really do. I have worked retail baby I know. I feel your pain and I appreciate you helping me and being there for me. I do. I say so. I give extra thank you's and Happy New Year and all that jazz. I know you're tired. I know it's been crazy busy. So either take the heat or get find another job. I did. I am not gonna be tired and gumpy I got out of retail. Yes you have mouths to feed. Yes you have to have a job but if you're gonna be grumpy about it. I think the ladies at FoodMax are happier I guess they don't have to bag the stuff so maybe they are happier. I don't know.
Ok so home we come and Joseph's new toy needs C batteries and we have none!!! C's doesn't everything in this world take double A's or triple A's? Apparently not! Hump.
Did you know Randy Hahn was married to Roberta Gonzales from CBS5 the weather gal? Just FYI for you Shark fans.
I am reading lots since I am on a break from school, weird I know. Just about done with Tony Dungey's book. It's good.
My brother in law is coming for a visit in a few weeks and we aren't telling the boys so they we will be surprised when he gets here but it's been very hard not to slip up! Derek's head is gonna explode. He and Joe would be non stop high bounce balls if they knew.
Joseph is into drawing snakes. So Dom looked up the snake he drew. He said "Daddy it's a green nake" so we had to look those up. Then we looked up Gopher Snake. So now he's obsessed with nakes. UGH I hate snakes! Out of nowhere he'll say "Mama a nake!" and it scares me every darn time. When will I get it that he's just being silly?
Ok my jammies are calling and Smack Down will be on soon. Happy Friday to y'all
