I don't know why I checked this just before bed. (Because I am stupid THAT'S why!) and I found this on the SJ Mercury News web site.
Curtis Brown (Tammy Giardina's favorite hockey player) has been told he won’t be offered a contract for next season with the San Jose Sharks. (This makes Tammy very sad) I don’t know the rationale and I haven’t had a chance to talk with the veteran center. Between his hand injury and coaching decisions, Brown played only 33 regular season games and had lost his spot on the penalty kill to Torrey Mitchell last season. But I guess I had figured with a new coach on the scene, he might get another chance here.
This is horrible news for me.
I can only hope he gets picked up by...hmmm how about the Chicago Blackhawks... or maybe goes into broadcasting maybe for the VS channel.
I hope he gets to spend more time with his three sons. sigh.
Ok I am off to bed. Sad sad day for me.
