Sports Girl

I think I have come to the conclusion that I am a sports girl. I enjoy sports. Not all sports but I do enjoy a good game of just about anything. I grew up watching football and baseball, horse racing, car racing, played basketball and tennis and now I am really into hockey (is that news to you?)
When I talk about sports as much a I do some people seemed surprised that I know as much as I do about some sports.
I was playing lacrosse with Joseph last night (I know weird huh?)and thinking I didn't know much about it but there we were playing it. It's harder than it looks. So we just by chance found a lacrosse match on tv and watched it.
There I was in my flip flops running around the court playing lacrosse with my son. I do that kind of thing. I don't see any of the other mom's out there playing anything with any of their children. How sad is that? Last night we went to the park and played some basketball. I had to con vice Joseph that there isn't a penalty box in basketball. Stinker did not believe me.
We're getting read to watch the final race of the triple crown today. Dom has never seen a horse race (Gasp!) as I was searching the online latest stats I saw that Jim Mckay has passed. Tell me you have never heard that mans voice over the years?

There have been moments have missed having a daughter. Longed to buy some pink shoes or a barbie doll but I think I would have them out on the basketball court anyway. I am happy I am boys mom. I am happy to be a sports girl.
