Privilage or pleasure?

I had the privilege (?) the pleasure (?) of having jury duty today. sigh.
I know that it is a privilege but I just don't feel really qualified to be making these life altering decision for these strangers. I mean good grief I have my own kids to raise.
So I went and I sat and I waited and I went into the court room and raised my hand and took the oath to tell the truth and I heard the trial details which made me sick to my stomach on the spot. I am not sure if I can tell you what it was. It involved murder and that was all I needed to know. In the end I was excused (Thank God)
I have been in property management for a bit, I have been on a few school campuses and I have been in a few hospitals and medical clinics. I am A OK with all of these places, but courts and places involving the law for some reason give me the hibby jibbys. Please with convicts and criminals give me willies. I am thankful for Dom's cousins husband who works in the prison system, I am thankful for my friend Jim who babysits the convicts as he says we need these folks, I just don't want to be any part of it thanks.
So I am done now until 2011. Thank goodness.
