The damage to platforms, refineries and other infrastructure on the Gulf or Mexico 's coast did nothing to help, but even without Katrin it is the time when the daily oil production is going to stop growing (probably; but the data is in that direction; google about "Peak Oil"). The demand continues to grow, however. So, prices are going to rise, no matter what. And no, what we saw so far was not really rising.

So far, the gas station I go to..Chevron, has only gone up a dime. But I would imagine it will go higher.
