Random ass thoughts.....

I am failing to connect to people today. I feel very disconnected to my friends, my children, my husband what is up with that? Is it me? Is it them?
The house is a mess and I have no energy to do anything about it and the more I look at it the more it feels like the clutter is zapping my energy from me. A horrible cycle.
I am too sensitive today. Snappy.

I think I better be cremated when I die I cannot bare to try to figure out what the heck I would wear and wouldn't want anyone to put me in something I don't really like. Shut up. It's my after life. And yes Val we will make your hair big.

What is the strangest thing you have ever eaten?

Tell me when you live on several YEARS on maybe 3 consecutive hours sleep how well you might think and handle life.

No no no, not big, just not ugly. It is my greatest fear of dieing, thank you for being sensitive to that. You are a good friend. The strangest thing I've eaten, that I know of, is Ostrich and Aligator. I didn't like either one. And my mom has been telling me for years, as a kid they were so poor she ate Muskrat that my grandpa killed. I never believed it was even a real animal until Jen looked it up for me and found a picture. And then she found a Muskrat Stew recipe. And next to that was Possum-N-Taters....mmmm

LOL! Yummy!!!

Possum and Taters
Ingredients:
1 young, fat possum
8 sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon sugar
salt
Directions: First, catch a possum. This in itself is excellent entertainment on a moonlight night. Skin the possum and remove the head and feet. Be sure to wash it thoroughly. Freeze overnight either outside or in a refrigerator.
When ready to cook, peel the potatoes and boil them tender in lightly salted water along with the butter and sugar. At the same time, stew the possum tender in a tightly covered pan with a little water. Arrange the taters around the possum, strip with bacon, sprinkle with thyme or marjoram, or pepper, and brown in the oven. Baste often with the drippings.

Muskrat Suzie, Muskrat Sam
Doing the jitterbug
in Grandpa's Pan

And they whirled and they twirled and they tangoed
Singin' and jingin' the jango
Sizzlin' and a poppin while they fry
Looks like Muskrat Pie
