....something really nice will happen.
....something bad wont.
...something that makes me and Dom sit at the kitchen table at 9 at night with our heads in our hands maybe that wont happen today.
...somethng that maybe we could celebrate.
...something that might feel like "hope" that better things are coming. Not a bill that ate up half of the overtime Dominic worked so much to get.
I start today with hope in my heart and my eyes open for good things. The good things in all things. A kind word not a mean one. A smile. Hope.

I know I am a huge cheerleader of you (and all of you) so don't roll your eyes when you read this.
YOU are worth the world. You deserve good things. And they will come. Mark my words. You are too smart and have too much heart for anything else. It feels like we are always having to scrape the poop of our shoes and while this might be true, we (you and me and all of us in this country really) are so very lucky. We live like kings compared to some countries. Some days it doesn't feel so but if you think about it, it's true. SO to that end, I say, hold up your head, expect good things, make them happen. I think something is right around the corner. I see tiny changes.
I was watching a PBS special with Bill Gates and Warren Buffet (um only the two richest men in the world sitting side by side doing an informal question/answer session at University of Nebraska. In fact, I have now watched it twice (fascinating so don't ask). All the things they said were so wise and enlightening. They are so regular people. SO. Extremely smart, of course, but just regular people. And they give billions and billions of $$ away to those less fortunate than them. Did you know Bill Gates funds 90% of the WORLD's polio vaccinations? Wow. Why am I writing all this? We can all make a difference. You will, Tammy. What you're going to school for? That one day will help tens if not hundreds of children. Can you imagine?
I can. So today something nice will happen. Just wait.
