If Uncle Sam treats us right this year ( and I am truly not counting on it) we are thinking of maybe taking the kids to either Lego Land or Big D land and visiting my mother in law and brother in law over the spring break.
My choice is of course D land....but ... if Uncle Sam doesnt come thru we may have to settle for Lego Land.
Anyone ever been there? Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?
With the current discounts we get through Dominic's work I am looking at about $500 for admission and hotel room. That's not too bad. But we might not have that much to use if any at all.
I know you all travel more than I do. Give me some tips.

I have never been there, but our good friends went last summer. They were not impressed. They also said that there wasn't more than 1 day's worth of activities, unlike Dland, which takes a week to get through. Since legoland is near San Diego (i think) you might be able to throw in the SD Zoo and that wildlife place that sounds so cool.
As I feel I am some what of an expert at the Disneyland and have visited legoland I will call you and give you my advice over the weekend.
Buffie (who now has an annual pass to disneyland and has previously had an annual pass to Legoland)
I say do what your heart says. Ignore the pocket book this once. I can't believe I'm saying this but do what you really want to do and I think that is DisneyLand. I know that means more $$$ but won't it be worth it?
We are saving to go in 2008. Been planning that for a while. Yes it will be expensive. It will be worth it. And we'll probably go one more time when the baby is older and can remember it better but that's too far for me to even THINK about. Maybe I'm too practical. I don't know.
Go with your gut!
Haven't been myself, but I've heard LegoLand leaves a lot to be desired. Disneyland all the way. It really is the happiest place on earth. I highly recommend the Tower of Terror. It's Brandon and Amanda's favorite ride. Nathan was able to ride it too...not his favorite ride though. I think his was Monster's Inc. My vote Disneyland.
over Spring Break?
STAY HOME!!!
