I was a little surprised to see the face of a woman who use to be my neighbor on the front page of the newspaper. Leesa and her story or at least part of the story covered a few pages of the tiny rag.
Jennifer Wadsworth the reporter for this story did a pretty decent job of digging about for this story. Way to go you ace reporter you. Jennifer dug up family names, history, background info even Leesa's children's birthdates for goodness sake. Was the necessary? I don't think so. She crossed a line I think but this is not a story about Jennifer and her reporting skills. This is about Leesa and her family.
I know this family. Not all that well but I have spent some time with them. I know that from what the paper says there is some big trouble brewing for them but I think it's just another issue of the mortgage industry took a turn and some people want someone to blame. Someone to get their money back from. I think in some cases Leesa is taking a far bigger fall that she needs too. The comments on the story on TracyPress.com tell of her and her sister flauting their money and success. I never really saw that. I saw some hard working people. Yes they enjoyed nice things with the money they made who wouldn't.
I said yesterday that my friend has changed. She has had to dig deep and take some big swallows. Believe me Leesa and her family are swallowing too.
Let us not judge them too quickly based on what Jennifer Wadworth side of the story is. Let us not place shame upon an already hurting family. Maybe they made some mistakes. I know the Leesa and Maria's faith will help them thru this. Yes they say her career has gone down in flames but I think like a Phoenix she will raise again.

I use to work with her and Maria at Albright Realty. I was a receptionist for a year. That was 15 years ago. I really liked her. All the good stuff you read about her...all true. She was a wonderful person. I can't say anything to the recent story, but I'm with you. I think she'll do great again one day.
