Today

So far today I have....

...worn a skirt all day and it's so cool and comfy..Thanks Lindsey
...used my own bag at Target and sent half the store in shock.
...have not eaten anything with more than 10g of carbs in and I feel sort of energized. I eat so many carbs and I think it causes me to be slug girl. So I am knocking that off.

What did you do today?

OMG lets see...

I ate at Chickfila, was so hungry from not eating breakfast I thought I was going to pass out or float away in the mall; felt not right. Notice a pattern here?

Wore a white, sleeveless shirt with white sandals.

Ate no sweets and only ate half my fries, kay I'm trying here.

Walked a lot in the mall (really trying here).

Done two loads of laundry, picked up the house, now stuck on what to do for dinner. Thawing hamburger meat; maybe spaghetti. hmmmmmm

I think our cat is going to die soon. Random I know but she is doing the strangest things. Sleeping more than ever. Throws up a lot, has lost some weight. Isn't crying, not complaining at all. Do old cats know when it is their time? This I wonder...

It's really strange to read that carbs slow you, I thought it was backwards.

Every time students go for a black belt test in our school, they switch to no-fat, all-carb diet (with a part of proteins, which the body uses to repair damaged tissues, thus letting muscles (re-)grow). I eat something carby before a tournament, like a banana. Carbs are the energy.

Body extracts energy from fats as well, but it is a slow and messy process. Basically, it uses liver's bile to decompose lipids into carbs, and bind the glicerin. Carbs are soluble, so intestines let them into blood as usual from that point. My liver perhaps is not as powerful as it once was, so I try not to rely on it too much!

Eating too much will slow you down, of course, if the body does not keep up burning the energy intake.

Other than that, working from home as usual today. Since I'm immobile after the surgery, my wife carries all housework.
