My son's school has been hit with some recent hardships. This is an amazing school that really Tally's around when a family needs it. Recently a mother and her 5 year old son were killed in a car accident. Also another family is facing a life threatening hardship. So our school held a bake sale. We got to make homemade items and donate them and purchase whatever we wanted for $5.00. The sale started at 8 am and by 9 am all of the items were gone and just about $1000 has been raised. That is truly a wonderful thing. My plate of brownies will be there for the second round for the afternoon. We have a yummy cake coming home for our dessert tonight and we'll take a moment to be thankful that we are part of such a wonderful community and were able to help those less fortunate than us.
So have a yummy dessert tonight with your family and really share it and look at the faces of your family tonight and your friends today and give an extra hug, an extra hand squeeze and be thankful. Love that!
